On Saturday, April 18th, Bruce Yelk & Nightlifegay.com will present the 3rd Annual Mr. Gay Philadelphia contest at Pure Nightclub.
Nightlifegay.com is thrilled to invite all community members and supporters to a spectacular evening of entertainment and competition. In order to give back to the community that put Mr. Gay Philadelphia on the map 2 years ago a silent auction has been added which will benefit one of the city’s most outstanding charitable organization ActionAIDS. The Philadelphia contest will also serve as a local preliminary for the 2010 North American Mr. Gay.

Judge: Michael Musto
Michael Musto is an American writer who began his professional career at The Village Voice, where he writes the weekly La Dolce Musto celebrity and gossip column. Musto is a recurring guest on several TV shows including Countdown with Keith Olbermann and others on the E! Channel. He is openly gay and is published regularly in several gay publications, including Out Magazine and ShowPeople. He appeared in drag in a blue dress in the all drag queen music video for Cyndi Lauper's single "Hey Now (Girls Just Want To Have Fun)", and as a reporter in the film Garbo Talks. Musto was named Best Gossip Columnist in a poll conducted by nycsidewalk.com, and in 2002, a UPI profile of Musto called him "one of the wittiest stylists in the English language.” |

Judge: Mickey Boardman (Mr. Mickey)
Mickey Boardman is a Manhattan-based celebrity reporter and gossip columnist for the uber-trendy, Paper Magazine. His biting wit and hysterical postings equally praise and criticize all that popular culture has to offer. Mr. Mickey’s star has risen in recent years as a featured personality on VH1’s series, The Fabulous Life. Not shy about being openly gay, Mr. Mickey isn’t just a celebrity pundit, but he’s also an integral part of the LGBT community, frequently offering his time and resources to charitable organizations throughout the country. |

Judge: Josh Rosenzweig
Josh Rosenzweig is not only the co-host of the show “here! with Josh and Sara,” but also the Senior Vice President of Integrated Marketing for here! Networks and Regent Media. He began his career in the entertainment industry on the creative side as a film and theater director and video editor. His first film SCREAM TEEN SCREAM, written by and starring Jackie Beat won the OUTfest Audience Award and subsequently was distributed theatrically by Strand Releasing. His second featurette, CHARLIE also has a successful festival life and was chosen by the Andy Warhol Museum to be part of its permanent collection

Judge Will Wikle
Will Wikle bounced on to the national radar as a cast member of CBS’s hit reality show Big Brother 5 and Bravo's Battle of the Network Reality Stars. His tryst with reality TV opened up the door to broadcasting and he joined the MTV/Logo family as host of the original travel series ‘Round Trip Ticket’ and frequent contributor to 'CBS News on LOGO'. He spent two years as host of the Clear Channel's nationally syndicated radio show 'Radio With A Twist' and made his silver screen debut as one of the leads in last summer's indie smash 'Another Gay Sequel'. He is currently in development with Double Dagger Productions on The Untitled Will Wikle Project which promises to fuse all his on camera talents together in one groundbreaking, scandalous package. |

David Brown is a nationally syndicated television producer with more the 15 years of experience in both morning talk and hard news. Wise, discerning, and with an eye for talent, David’s experience makes him perfect judge to determine who the next Mr Gay Philly will be.

Judge: Dan Anders
Anders was nominated by Pennsylvania Governor Edward Rendell to fill a two-year vacancy on the Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia. His appointment was unanimously confirmed by the State Senate on June 30, 2007. Judge Anders currently serves in the Family Court Division, where he has heard over 5,000 cases involving at-risk children who have been abused or neglected. Judge Anders is the first openly LGBT person to have been confirmed as a judge in Pennsylvania. He lives in the Graduate Hospital section of Philadelphia. He graduated cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh’s law school and served on the school’s Law Review. |

Judge: Mr. Gay Philadelphia 2007 Andrew Petruzelli
Andrew Petruzelli won the very first Mr. Gay Philadelphia event two years ago. Andrew is back this year in a very different role as judge, but one he understands completely as a contestant.
Since winning the Mr. Gay Philadelphia, Andrew has continued his career as a chef and is currently the head chef at Knock. |
